Chiropractors use adjustments (spinal manipulations) to remove subluxations (spinal restrictions or misalignments) that cause serious interference with the body’s functions and it’s ability to maintain itself in a healthy disease free state. Free of vertebral subluxations, you are more balanced with less stress on your nervous system and body structure allowing good health and better healing

Chiropractic means different things to different people. A small child that no longer suffers from ear infections may tell you “Chiropractic is for my ears”. A young woman may tell you “Chiropractic is for my menstrual problems”. Others may say chiropractic is for digestive problems, asthma, back or neck pain, colds, headache, sciatica, neurological problems, colic and much more. Chiropractic isn’t just about treating illness. Many people visit their Chiropractor for more energy, for improved sports performance, for feeling more alive, for better resistance to disease and to help ensure drug free lives for themselves and their families.

The Four Stages of Chiropractic Care

2. Spinal Healing

3. Health Enhancement

4. Health Optimisation

1. Intensive Spinal Correction

You are starting to hold your spinal corrections for longer, but are still subluxation prone. Your subluxation pattern may shift and different areas may need to be adjusted on each visit. Continued corrective care helps your vertebrae, nerves, discs, muscles, tendons and ligaments strengthen and heal.

Your spine is being retrained to maintain its alignment and increases its flexibility and strength. By having your own, and your family’s spines checked on a periodic basis, many problems caused by an unhealthy spinal column can be corrected and prevented.

A history will be taken and a thorough Orthopaedic and Neurological examination conducted. X-rays will be arranged if deemed necessary. This is a fact finding visit and all information has to be collected before treatment can start.
Treatment may also be given on this visit, but all patients will be advised what is wrong with them and how much treatment they may require prior to the commencement of treatment.

You visit your Chiropractor or periodic spinal check-ups. Although subluxations may occur, they are easily released. Your spine is flexible and moves in a fluid motion. Your vertebrae move easily, your muscles are balanced and your discs, tendons and ligaments are strong.

Chiropractic

Initially you may need many adjustments every time you come in for treatment. The scar tissue around your joints and nerves, and the stress damage of your ligaments, tendons and muscles due to years of chronic subluxations, makes it difficult for your spine to hold its corrections.
